Neurocognitive vs. Memory Care

What is the Difference?

“Memory care” has long been misused as a blanket term to address Alzheimer’s Disease and related Dementias. We know that memory loss may not be the only key feature of a neurocognitive impairment or dementia. In fact, neurocognitive changes present in all 5 areas of cognitive domain. Changes in language, motor skills, balance, visual/special and executive functions in the body can all be indicative of a neurocognitive disorder.
Here at Integrace, transforming how individuals and families navigate a life journey with neurocognitive change is our goal. Our multi-disciplinary team develops a comprehensive plan to optimize the quality of life for every individual and their family.
